QUEEN GUITARIST INVITES WORLD LEADERS TO GET 'ON TRACK' AT COP 26
Queen guitarist Brian May's 'Save Me Trust' has called on world leaders to take action at the #COP26 climate summit, with an animated film depicting the environmental threats the planet is facing, set to the famous Queen soundtrack, 'Who wants to Live Forever.'
The six-minute, animated campaign film, a collaboration between university and college students from around the world and director Matteo Valenti, shows the state of our planet and the threats facing our wildlife as wolves, rhinos, kangaroos, bears, monkeys and whales are displaced by human activity.
A statement from the Save Me Trust said our "precious planet" is facing "devastation". "Advancing our needs has pushed mother nature to the brink ...World leaders are meeting at the UN Climate Change Conference 2021 (Cop26) and it is essential they take heed and take actions now."
Dr Brian May, who founded his charity in 2010 "to give wild animals a voice" has previously said that when he's gone, people will remember him for his role in Queen, "but I would much rather be remembered for attempting to change the way we treat our fellow creatures.".
