SPRING RANGE RAISES FUNDS FOR FLAMINGOS

This spring, the vegan, cruelty-free, luxury botanical skincare, makeup & fragrance company Chantecaille have used a charismatic bird as both their muse and charity focus. Launching a limited-edition Spring 2026 'Flamingo' eye and lip make-up collection they are supporting the Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) in their work empowering local communities to protect American Flamingos and their ecosystems in Boca de Camarones, Columbia.

Already known for supporting wildlife and nature initiatives around the world, five per cent of every product sold from Chantecaille's new pink-toned Spring 2026 Flamingo Collection, will support ACT's conservation work in the Boca de Camarones wetland system region, one of the most important strongholds of the American Flamingo comprising lagoons, mangroves, desert scrubland and dry tropical forest. Flamingos are considered to be an 'umbrella species' and their sensitivity to changes in water quality and food availability makes them powerful indicators of ecosystem health. Protecting their ecosystems also safeguards all other birds, fish, invertebrates and plants that live there.

The funds will help establish a long-term biological monitoring program for both the flamingos and the wetlands, carried out in direct partnership with local Wayuu indigenous community members, for whom the area also holds deep cultural and spiritual meaning.

Juan Carlos Cruz, Manager of Science and Conservation for ACT and the biologist leading their flamingo research said that the region serves as an important feeding ground for many species of migratory birds, that move seasonally along the Caribbean coast of South America such as herons, egrets and ducks and that in 2025 a record number of flamingos were spotted. "This brings hope for the conservation of the species," Cruz says, "but also reaffirms the importance of this protected area for many populations migrating east for the nesting season."

So for fresh spring hues that give back to conservation and should also ensure the wearer stands out in a crowd, why not treat yourself or a loved one? To view the full Flamingo Collection Dawn and Dusk eye colour palettes and the Lip Chic colours click HERE.
