CELEBRATING JANE GOODALL'S BIRTHDAY IN HER OWN STYLE

World renowned primatologist, conservationist, author and UN Messenger of Peace, Dr Jane Goodall's 90th birthday on 3rd April 2024 has sparked a number of environmental, sustainable and stylish initiatives that you can be part of too!

Effortlessly stylish and chic herself, Jane has been attending various celebrations including a party with 90 dogs on a beach! Other more lasting commemorations include 90 female wildlife and landscape photographers from around the world, who have marked the occasion with a 90 day sale of their stunning prints - in glorious technicolour to black and white. From a mating bee ball, to whales tails, an elephant in a sunlit forest to whirling wings of snow geese, affectionate giraffes to 'the sound of the ice' you too can obtain one of these amazing pieces of art capturing nature for your walls (including a self-portrait of Jane taken in 1962, looking out for chimpanzees ). 60% of the proceeds from this exhibition entitled 'The Nature of Hope: 90 Years of Jane Goodall' organised by Vital Impacts is going to The Jane Goodall Institute which works to protect chimpanzees and their habitats. To have a browse please click HERE. (NB More prints are being released every week- the sale ends 2nd July 2024).

Meanwhile, if you fancy a heart warming read you can purchase the book 'Jane Goodall at 90' from most booksellers, which, with a lovely Jane and dog cover image, contains 90 tributes and photos from family, friends, colleagues and supporters from around the world who share their love for this amazing woman.

And for a special treat, later this year (possibly in the Autumn), Jane will be releasing a jewellery collection with ethical and sustainable jeweller Brilliant Earth who have already made an inaugural contribution to her birthday fundraising campaign.

As Dr Goodall continues to travel and spread her message of 'Hope through Action' at many pre-arranged celebratory events around the world, you can read more about her the incredible work and achievements of her 'Roots and Shoots' young peoples' program and her global, community-led conservation organisation, the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) HERE, which is helping to create a better world for people, other animals and our shared environment.
