Insuring the future: THE £100K CHARITY GIVEAWAY

Animal Friends Pet Insurance is not only a strong advocate for the welfare of animals, but also for the environment. Founded in 1998 with the sole purpose of improving the lives of animals by supporting animal charities, they have so far donated over £4,000,000 to 400+ animal welfare charities worldwide and last year they launched a £100k give-way won by StreetVet.

This year's finalists in the £100k give-away, as nominated by their followers, are the Bat Conservation Trust, Whale and Dolphin Conservation and Four Paws. Voting is open until 24th November 2019 and there can only be one winner, so to find out more about the charities in the running and to have your say please vote here.

The final cut: Vote now for the Charity Film Awards

It's time for the public to vote in The Charity Film Awards 2020, created to celebrate the success of film in fundraising. Four hundred charities submitted their entries, free of charge, between September and late October 2019, in categories based on their turnover for the latest financial year, so they each have a fair chance to win an award regardless of their size and the budgets available. Now we're all invited to go online and have our say by 1st December 2019 in order to determine a short list of entries (announced in January 2020) which will then be judged by a final panel in February 2020.

Covering a range of 'heart'-hitting issues from environmental to cultural, portrayed in creative and arresting ways to make you change your mind or your behaviour, these 1-5 minute films are perfect viewing during these winter months. Click here to see all the entries. As The Charity Awards founder Simon Burton said, "Everyone is a winner if it's succeeded in driving one additional view".
