TAKE PART IN THE WORLD'S 'GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION' TO SAVE OUR PLANET
As a growing global movement of people, motivated by their faith, arrived in Glasgow on foot, ahead of COP 26 to demand governments also 'walk the walk' for the global south, people of all faiths and none, are invited to join in the 'Global Day of Action for Climate Justice' wherever you live.
On 6th November 2021, you can join millions of people across the world who are coming together to demand change and urgent solutions to combat the nature and climate emergency that affects us all and the wildlife we love. You can take part in any way that most suits you, such as taking to the streets and marching at an event nearby, or joining the digital World Climate March. For the latter, you simply march 1.5km, wherever you are, at a time convenient to you, alone or with neighbours. The 1.5km represents 1.5°C temperature rise limit for global warming, which is vital for avoiding further disasters. For more information and to join the World Climate March, click HERE.
Many individual wildlife and environment charities are organising their own activities in addition to the marches organised by the COP26 Coalition up and down the UK, such as the RSPB who have put together a handy guide HERE or Surfers Against Sewage who are calling for all ocean defenders to grab their wetsuits, placards and megaphones to attend one of the planned protests, or set one up one of their own - using the 'HOW TO' local action resource pack from the COP 26 Coalition website HERE.
The COP26 Coalition encompasses environment and development NGO's, trade unions, grassroots community campaigns, faith and youth groups etc. See their main page to find out more and how you can take part HERE.
